Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, including Family Nurse Practitioners) to join our Neurosurgery team at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. Scope of Practice Our Neurosurgery team is dedicated to treating disorders of the brain and spinal cord using advanced surgical and non-surgical techniques. Services include minimally invasive spine surgery supported by 3D imaging technology, as well as innovative treatments such as Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and MRI-guided focused ultrasound for Parkinson's disease. Working within a highly collaborative team environment, the Advanced Practice Provider will play an integral role in delivering comprehensive, coordinated care across the continuum of treatment. Responsibilities include: • Conducting outpatient clinic visits, including new patient consultations and post-operative follow-up care • Assisting neurosurgeons in the operating room • Participating in inpatient and outpatient patient management as needed • Supporting evidence-based practice initiatives and quality patient outcomes • Serving as a key member of Riverside's Comprehensive Neurosurgical Program Qualifications Experience • Prior Neurosurgery experience preferred, but not required Education • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Required Qualifications • Current Virginia Nurse Practitioner license or Virginia Physician Assistant license, or eligibility for licensure in Virginia • Board Certification or Board Eligibility • Valid DEA controlled substance registration or ability to obtain • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Collaborative approach to patient care and interdisciplinary teamwork • Commitment to maintaining the highest professional and clinical standards Highlights • Competitive base pay • Value Based Performance Incentive • Comprehensive Health Benefits and Retirement Package • Provider Time Off • Malpractice Coverage • CME Allowance • Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
