Position SummaryUBMD Neurology seeking a full-time
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APP) to provide outpatient clinical care in the Movement Disorders division. The APP will work in collaboration with our Movement Disorders Neurologists and current division APP. The individual will play a critical role in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, planning and management of neurologic disorders within the sub-specialty. Additional job duties will include but are not limited to performing botulinum toxin injections for post-stroke spasticity and dystonia, performing diagnostic skin biopsies, and programming of patient Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) systems.
The APP will also work on active clinical trials in Movement Disorders, in a sub-investigator role.

Required Qualifications- Must be currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of New York
- Possess excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with documentation in an electronic medical record
- Experience working with the neurologic population is preferred, but training is also provided
- Experience working on clinical trials is preferred
