Hiring Range $115,000.00 – 150,000.00

Actual pay depends on specialty, experience, and performance.

Riverside is currently seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider to join our Lifelong Health & Aging Related Services team in Newport News, Virginia.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dedicated interdisciplinary team focused on improving quality of life for patients with serious illnesses through comprehensive outpatient palliative care services.

Position Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in Virginia
  • Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license with an appropriate specialty designation, including:
    • Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC)
    • Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-BC)
    • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC/FNP-C)
    • Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), when applicable to palliative care practice
  • Current national certification through an approved certifying body (ANCC, AANP, AACN, or equivalent) corresponding to specialty designation

Physician Assistant Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Virginia Physician Assistant license
  • Current NCCPA certification

Prescriptive Authority Requirements

  • Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
  • Eligibility for Virginia Schedule II-VI prescriptive authority

Certifications

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
