Advance Practice Nurse- Second ShiftColeman Intensive Crisis Services is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse for full-time employment in our Chillicothe, Ohio, location. Help support our mission by providing professional patient care with a strong, team-oriented approach for medication evaluation and management. This position will work out of our newly established crisis unit, which will open this summer.
Qualified candidates must have an Ohio license as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist with prescriptive authority. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
All APNs must maintain a Standard Care Arrangement with an identified Coleman Psychiatrist in accordance with the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
Must have an NPI number, be enrolled as a provider to bill Ohio Medicaid, and have a CAQH account created.
Job duties of APN:
- Apply medical knowledge to screen, diagnose, treat, and manage the mental health care of clients while maintaining client data in an electronic health record.
- Administer psychiatric treatment, including prescriptions and medication reviews.
- Assess hospitalization need.
- Establish initial treatment plan and monitor progress.
- Initiate referrals to internal or external providers.
- Provide psychiatric consultations and program consultations.
- Educate individuals and families about medication management.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists, physicians, and other providers to ensure continuity of care.
