Responsibilities- Provide clinical oversight to all adult mental health service within the Fond du Lac Behavioral health to include psychotherapy services, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services, and Adult targeted case managers.
- Provide supervision to interns who are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields including, but not limited to, social work, or psychology.
- Develop and coordinate clinical supervision plans for staff needing clinical supervision hours through their respective boards of behavioral health.
- Provide coaching, teaching, and practicing culturally appropriate skills with staff.
- Monitor the adult's mental health team's caseloads, and documentation, and co-sign for billable documentation.
- Ensure that the adult's mental health services are effectively operating within Fond du Lac Reservation and MN DHS guidelines.
- Facilitate referral process with external partnerships, while also referring clients to appropriate within the Fond du Lac Human Services as well as the surrounding area.
- Serves as the key liaison between the multidisciplinary team within Fond du Lac Human Services, county representatives, and administrators to support staff needs and administrative changes.
- Be knowledgeable of area resources and facilitate the referral process for clients and families for appropriate services within Fond du Lac Human Services as well as the surrounding area.
- Carry a half caseload, providing psychotherapy for individuals, families and/or groups.
- Engage in crisis de-escalation/management and develop and implement safety and crisis plans while supporting the needs of the mobile crisis team.
- Complete and/or review clinical assessments for all assigned programs, including formulating diagnoses.
- Engage in community outreach activities and provide education to prevent and create awareness of mental and emotional disturbance for adults, children, and families.
- Assist the Behavioral Health Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator with other duties as assigned.
- Issue disciplinary action as needed and complete employee performance evaluations for assigned staff.
- Conduct and participate in in-service training sessions for human services staff on topics related to service delivery as needed.
- Facilitate personal growth of professional knowledge and maintain program certification or licensure requirements through participation in continuing education.
- Complete reports promptly (monthly Reservation Business Committee (RBC) reports, program quarterly reports) and grant reports as necessary.
- Transport clients to events and appointments as needed.
- Appropriate/Professional work attire is required.
- Must attend all mandatory department trainings.
- Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients.
- Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
- Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
- Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
- Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
Qualifications- Valid U.S. Class D Driver's License with Fond du Lac Insurability is required.
- A Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling with clinic experience is required; or a Doctoral Degree in Psychology with clinical experience is required
- Fully licensed as an LP or fully licensed as an LMFT, LICSW, or LPCC with credentials to provide clinical supervision in Minnesota.as an LMFT, LICSW, or LPCC is required.
- If not credentialed to provide clinical supervision at the time of hire, must be registered/prepared to complete the necessary training within 6 months of hire.
- Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, data bases and/or data entry, Spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook is required.
- Knowledge of Native American communities, culture, customs, and beliefs is required.
- Experience working with Native Americans clients, communities and is able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
- Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
- Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies.
