Administrator SNF hold responsibility for provision of skilled nursing and subacute services provided at The Villas at Poway and therefore works to achieve and exceed all Palomar Health strategic and operational goals for The Villas determined annually for patients and family experience, employee and physician engagement, finance, quality and regulatory. Specifically in the skilled nursing/subacute facility, the Administrator in concert with the Director of Nursing provides direct facility oversight of Accounting, H.R., Food & Nutrition, Facility and Environmental Services, Nursing/Healthcare, Activities, Medical Records, Social Services and Rehab/Restorative Nursing Services. In partnership with Palomar Health Patient Financial Services (PFS), Health Information Management (HIM), Clinical Resource Management (CRM) and Financial Services, , the Administrator is responsible for the management, coordination, planning and evaluation of the functions and activities throughout the skilled nursing/long term care facility related to patient trust, patient access, billing, coding, collection, medical records and support services. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all aspects of care/services delivered, billing and support services deliverables, ensuring quality programs, providing a level of customer service that strives to exceed internal and external customer expectations, and developing strong relationships with skilled nursing customers. Ensures that all patient access, billing, coding, records, collection and trust processes are in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Stays current on all new and changed regulatory requirements specific to skilled nursing and long term care and ensures their application. Practices excellent employee relations and attention to employee needs, develops and mentors a high performing management team for all areas of responsibility. Develops, mentors and leads a high-performing leadership team in areas of customer experience, disaster preparedness, compliance, environment of care, and employee engagement. Ensures ongoing financial viability of The Villas at Poway by managing both applicable revenue and expenses with attention to supply utilization and costs as well as labor productivity. Represents The Villas at Poway in campus and district leadership teams. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor's preferably in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration

Preferred Education: Master's preferably in Business, Health Administration or Healthcare Administration

Preferred Experience: 3 year prior Management or AIT experience in a long term care setting

Preferred Experience: 5 years prior Management or AIT experience in a long term care setting

Required Certification: Licensure as an NHA in the state of California
