We are seeking an Actuarial Pricing Leader to lead the actuarial pricing function for a newly expanding Commercial Property business, build the infrastructure required for long-term success, and help shape the future direction of the product. This is a highly visible opportunity for an actuarial leader who enjoys building in a dynamic environment, establishing frameworks and processes, and partnering closely with underwriting, product, and claims teams to drive profitable growth.
**Please note the position will be filled at a level (AVP or VP) appropriate to the candidate's experience and qualifications.
AVP Level:
- Lead pricing analyses, portfolio monitoring, and profitability assessments to support the commercial property business.
- Develop pricing recommendations and partner closely with underwriting, product, finance, and claims teams to drive informed business decisions.
- Implement and enhance pricing frameworks, governance processes, reporting capabilities, and analytical tools.
- Evaluate portfolio performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability, growth, and risk selection.
- Manage projects and priorities independently while mentoring and developing actuarial talent.
- Influence business decisions through data-driven insights, technical expertise, and effective stakeholder collaboration.
VP Level:
- Establish the pricing strategy, governance framework, and long-term vision for the commercial property portfolio.
- Own portfolio pricing performance and accountability for profitability, growth, rate adequacy, and strategic business outcomes.
- Lead, develop, and scale the actuarial pricing function, including organizational design, talent development, and succession planning.
- Partner with executive leadership to shape business strategy, risk appetite, portfolio management, and growth initiatives.
- Define pricing standards, decision-making frameworks, and analytical capabilities that support consistent, disciplined execution across the portfolio.
- Influence enterprise-level decisions and drive organizational capabilities in support of a growing and evolving business.

Qualifications
AVP Level:
- ACAS or FCAS required
- 7-10 years of actuarial experience, including significant commercial property pricing expertise
VP Level:
- ACAS or FCAS required; FCAS strongly preferred
- 10-15+ years of actuarial experience and a demonstrated track record leading commercial property pricing and portfolio management strategies
General Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or another field with a rigorous mathematics background.
- Results-oriented with the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities when necessary.
- Experience managing a team of direct reports
- Significant commercial property pricing experience, including individual risk, portfolio management, or product pricing responsibilities.
- Experience supporting a new product launch, entering a new market segment, or building pricing processes from the ground up strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence business partners and senior leadership on strategic decisions.
- Experience working closely with underwriting and product leaders in a fast-paced commercial insurance environment.

Salary Range:
AVP, Commercial Property Pricing Actuary$190,000 - $230,000
VP, Commercial Property Pricing Actuary$225,000 - $275,000
In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for a short-term incentive plan (performance-based bonus), subject to individual and company performance.
The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
This role may be based out of any of our office locations, including:
New York City Metropolitan Area, Greater Philadelphia Area, Greater Phoenix Area
The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3 days per week and also be available for travel as required
