Job SummaryThe Actuarial Analyst supports ceded reinsurance operations for Employee Benefits, including Long Term Disability, Group Life, and AD&D. This role is responsible for monthly claims valuation, reinsurance billing, reimbursement tracking, and financial reporting. The Analyst reviews data for accuracy, applies reinsurance treaty provisions, investigates discrepancies, and supports automated workflows. This position also partners with actuarial, accounting, and other teams to support reporting, process improvements, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Execute monthly ceded claims valuations and apply reinsurance treaty provisions to claims and reserves.
- Prepare and review reinsurance billing, adjustments, and supporting documentation.
- Track reimbursements, reconcile payments, and investigate outstanding or disputed items.
- Validate data, maintain treaty information, and monitor automated processes and reporting.
- Support testing, audits, documentation, actuarial requests, and continuous process improvement.
Skills and Background You'll NeedEducation: Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with data, calculation systems, or reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies, reconcile data, and interpret business rules or contract provisions.
- Comfortable working with automated processes and technical tools; experience with Databricks, SAS, SQL, Python, VBA, or Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.
Salary Range:
$66,000.00 - $96,250.00
