Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree; higher preferred.
• Licensed Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRS) or Activities Professional required.
• 2+ years of relevant social/recreation experience with 1 year in healthcare activities.
• Fluent in English communication; reading, writing, speaking.
• Proven leadership qualities and capable of team supervision.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to connect with various stakeholders.
• Adaptable to diverse resident needs and willing to learn new programming techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and direct resident activity programs.
• Complete assessments and create individualized activity care plans.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Recruit, interview, and supervise activity department staff.
• Engage families and collaborate with community agencies for program planning.
• Manage documentation, budgets, and report to the Administrator.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident care.
• Arrange logistics for resident transportation during activities.
