Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree; preferred.
• Licensed Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRSs) or Activities Professional, or eligible for certification as a recreation specialist.
• 2+ years of social/recreation experience, including 1 year in a healthcare activities program.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Proven ability to supervise staff and work collaboratively across teams.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude in resident interactions.
• Willingness to adapt activity programming for diverse resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and direct engaging resident activity programs.
• Complete resident assessments and create individualized activity care plans.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and participate in facility surveys.
• Recruit, interview, and supervise activity department personnel.
• Engage families and residents in program planning and collaborate with community agencies.
• Manage department documentation, handle budgets, and report to the Administrator.
• Coordinate with nursing and social services to support resident needs.
• Arrange safe transportation for resident outings and transfers.
