Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an Acquisition Analyst in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics’ (SOF AT&L) Directorate of Science & Technology.

 

This is a full-time opportunity located at MacDill, AFB, FL.

Responsibilities

• Support government counterparts regarding the adequacy and clarity of program execution based on daily application of the processes and agency reporting requirements. • Updates and maintains status of S&T projects and provides decision quality information, recommendations, and status briefings to leadership on assigned programs and projects.• Supports contract modification and makes technical recommendations for change order approval. • Supports budget control directly supporting programmatic efforts.• Provides decision support inputs for Statements of Work, Statements of Objectives, Requests for Proposals, project proposals, Broad Area Announcement Reviews, Technical Reviews schedules, cost estimates, cost proposals, and general studies. • Applies advanced tools to document and analyze the results of critical, complex activities and tasks.• Plans, executes, and documents surveillance of contract execution on behalf of government counterparts, using performance indicators identified in applicable acquisition and programmatic surveillance processes. • Provides expert level inputs for status briefings to leadership, outlining assigned programs, projects, problems, and recommended resolution. • Analyzes trends in performance indicators to assist government counterparts with managing Agency level performance indicators, recommending corrective action, establishing lessons learned, and influencing the improvement of processes. • Knowledge of Ability to conduct price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals, actual and estimated expenditures and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position. • Ability to properly apply funding rules associated with the obligation of multiple types of appropriations.

Qualifications Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI. Certifications: DAWIA Practitioner Equivalency IAW the PWS (DAWIA level II equivalent), and in the Program Management, Engineering, Science and Technology (S&T) or Test and Evaluation fields. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Accounting, or Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field. Years of Experience: 10 years working in Federal Government acquisition programs, including:

• Exceptional expertise in the execution of Federal/DoD acquisition programs.• Significant experience developing Statements of Work, reviewing contracts, and conducting technical reviews. • Significant experience in managing acquisition funding from budget development to obligation of funds.
