Job Description:

Withum's Business Enterprise Advisors (BEA) team is seeking a manager to join our Lincolnshire, IL office locationThis role will be a hybrid-based position (3 days in the office).

The BEA groupprovides tax, assurance and advisory services to private companies who desire one point of contact for their business needs. Our business consultants have the combined expertise of providing accounting services including assurance, financial and valuation services, individual and business tax planning, and business management services, covering people to processes; cyber to succession planning; technology to transaction advisory.

How You'll Spend Your Time:
  • Analyzing financial statements, assessing risks, and providing recommendations on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization
  • Identifying bottlenecks, streamlining processes, and suggesting improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
  • Developing and implementing change management plans to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes
  • Providing supervision, training and support to the engagement staff and promoting open communication to the engagement partner and manager
  • Inspiring, developing, mentoring, and retaining staff while providing challenging assignments
  • Reviewing and supervising the preparation of compilation and review level financial statements
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with our tax, assurance and accounting, and advisory groups to identify opportunities to fully service the clients
  • Remaining current on technical and industry developments and standards, while evaluating the potential impact on clients' business and financial position
  • Participating in client proposals and identifying new business development opportunities

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a business-related field of study
  • CPA license required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a local or mid-sized CPA firm or a tax consulting practice, food & beverage industry experience is a plus
  • Experience working with a high volume of financial statements with tight deadlines
  • Strong accounting technical background along with a curiosity and willingness to stay current on all key law changes
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and technical skills
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
  • Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client's management


The compensation for this position ranges from $120,000-$140,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
