Fort Lauderdale, FL As we continue to scale our multi-entity portfolio, we're looking for an Accounting Manager to lead critical accounting functions and help strengthen the financial foundation that supports our growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning the close process, improving systems and controls, and partnering across the business. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting audits, and mentoring a growing accounting team, all while helping Vacatia scale with confidence.
What You'll Do - Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial schedules
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
- Lead internal and external audits, including documentation preparation and audit responses
- Partner cross-functionally to improve financial workflows and strengthen internal controls
- Support the integration of new resorts, entities, or acquisitions into accounting systems
- Identify and lead process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and transparency
- Coach, mentor, and support accounting team members to drive performance and development
What You Bring - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience managing close processes in multi-entity environments (hospitality or real estate a plus)
- Proficiency with accounting systems and general ledger management
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally
- CPA or CPA eligibility strongly preferred
