Full Job Description
Coinbase Canada seeks an Accounting and Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our Global Financial and Regulatory Reporting team within Finance. You'll serve as the primary Finance owner for all recurring regulatory filings, including Form 31-103F1 and CIRO Form 1, while maintaining IFRS books of account and partnering with Tax, Treasury, and Legal to ensure capital adequacy. This is a technical, high-impact role where you'll design scalable reporting processes, build robust internal controls, and automate reporting cycles for a high-growth crypto environment.

What you'll do:
  • Own the preparation, review, and submission of all recurring regulatory filings (Form 31-103F1, CIRO Form 1, and other OSC/CIRO submissions), ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Drive monthly management reporting and board-level financial analysis for Coinbase Canada, including variance commentary and capital adequacy reporting under IFRS.
  • Lead the maintenance of parallel IFRS books of account, including all reconciliations, adjusting entries, and supporting documentation required for audit and regulatory examination.
  • Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, and outsourced service providers to coordinate liquidity management, monitor SLA/KPI performance, and resolve cross-functional financial reporting queries.
  • Build and enhance scalable reporting processes, automation, and internal controls that reduce manual effort and support Coinbase Canada's growth trajectory.
  • Strengthen relationships with external regulators (OSC, CIRO) by serving as Finance's primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries, examinations, and ad hoc information requests.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 6+ years of experience in regulatory reporting or finance at a bank, fintech, securities dealer, investment dealer, financial regulatory agency, or professional services firm serving financial institution clients, with at least 3 years in a regulated entity preparing or reviewing filings for a securities regulator (e.g., OSC, CIRO/IIROC).
  • CPA designation (or equivalent) with deep, hands-on knowledge of IFRS and Canadian securities regulatory reporting requirements, including NI 31-103, Form 31-103F1, and CIRO capital adequacy rules.
  • Proven track record of preparing and presenting financial and regulatory reports to board-level and senior management audiences.
  • Direct experience interacting with securities regulators (e.g., OSC, CIRO/IIROC, provincial securities commissions) during examinations, inquiries, or routine filings.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects (e.g., vendor transitions, system integrations, reporting automation) from scoping through delivery in a management capacity.
  • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
