Full Job Description
As one of our Test & Measurement Account Managers, you will be part of a customer-focused team dedicated to maximizing sales through the development of new business and working closely with our existing customers utilizing a solutions-based sales approach. Product categories that enable our customers to succeed include spectrum/signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, and communication test systems. We are currently looking for an Account Manager to be based in the greater Boston area focusing on expanding our business into established and existing accounts and support our existing accounts.

Your tasks

  • Understand customer needs and identify how Rohde & Schwarz products can provide technical solutions
  • Create new business opportunities and expanding Rohde & Schwarz brand awareness in existing customers - Effectively demonstrate and communicate how Rohde & Schwarz products can best solve the customers measurement/application problems - Grow the R&S market share and exceed quota
  • Develop and manage a strong sales funnel
  • Provide input and feedback to product marketing, service and development groups on customer product and application requirements


Your qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field
  • 7+ years technical sales experience, preferred in test industry
  • An understanding of current electronic industry technologies (aerospace and defense technologies a plus)
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for selling, an intense focus on customer service, and an overwhelming desire to succeed
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
  • The ability to travel throughout the territory with some possible out of territory/ international travel
  • Experience in managing large/complex accounts
  • Account knowledge and experience selling into Government and Aerospace industries is highly desired
  • In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US and be a US person (customer requirements)

The total compensation for this position is $110K-$230K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
