Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Account Manager to grow our Beauty and Home Care business across the East coast and Midwest Territory. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and self-motivated, who is passionate about expanding their industry knowledge and executing projects. This individual will manage sales revenue, cultivate long-term relationships and building customer intimacy with brands and contract manufacturers, and drive new business development while representing the company at industry tradeshows and events.
Core Responsibilities:
- Managing sales revenue, RFQs, forecasts, and year-end estimates across an assigned territory.
- Exceptional analytical skill sets in segmentation, gap and competitive analysis
- Disciplined and focus on identifying and execution of meaningful projects working closely with customer gate keepers
- Maintaining and strengthening long-term relationships with brands OEM, contract manufacturers and distributors through both virtual and in-person customer visits.
- Prospecting for new business with existing and new customers while managing and growing current accounts.
- Selling a broad portfolio of INCI from starches to polyols and humectants
- Engaging in cross-departmental problem-solving with Application Lab, R&D, Regulatory, Customer Service, and Marketing to support customer needs.
- Attending industry tradeshows and engaging in regular business travel (up to 50%).
- Managing CRM/Salesforce opportunities, pipeline updates, and call reports to maintain accurate market intelligence.
- Forecasting customer usage and communicating with key stakeholders internally to ensure product availability.
- Leading and delivering strong, persuasive presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Organizing and managing company presence at tradeshows and industry events.

The required qualifications and skills are:
- Bachelor's degree in science or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of account/client relationship management experience, including experience selling personal and beauty care raw materials.
- Proven track record contributing significantly to company sales growth and new business development.
- Experience managing a large portfolio of accounts across multiple states, including both brands and contract manufacturers.
- Demonstrated experience generating and analyzing CRM/Salesforce reports and managing sales pipelines.
- Strong business writing and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other core business software.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight travel, for customer visits and industry tradeshows.
- Certification in basic professional sales training (how to sell) or equivalent professional sales training preferred.
Membership or active involvement in relevant industry organizations (e.g., Society of Cosmetic Chemists) preferred

Pay Range:
$108,000.00-$144,000.00 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
