Full Job Description
This is a remote role within the United States. US work authorization is required.

Role Overview
The Account Executive drives net-new growth for VIATechnik's General Contractor vertical. This role focuses on winning new logos among mid-market and regional general contractors and expanding the strongest of those relationships into durable, repeat accounts.

Day to day, this means owning the full sales cycle, including qualifying inbound, running discovery, estimating and scoping with the studios, developing proposals, and closing contracts. It also means building relationships with the people who control project budgets, such as VDC and preconstruction leaders, project executives, and self-perform operations leadership and engaging with them using a consultative approach while carrying enough operational fluency to speak credibly about deliverables.

The role starts in the mid-market and regional tier, where inbound concentrates. The Account Executive would be responsible for identifying accounts to grow into enterprise relationships.

Employee Value Proposition

Purpose

VIATechnik is growing fast, and inbound demand now outpaces the team's capacity to convert it efficiently. This role exists to capture that demand and turn it into lasting accounts that will be the next tier of our GC book.

Growth

This is a role for someone who wants to build their own client portfolio. Success here means direct exposure to enterprise account strategy, cross-functional work across sales, estimating, delivery, and a clear path toward strategic account ownership or commercial leadership as the vertical scales.

Motivators

Top performers here are motivated by building new business and growing a client base over time. They are competitive but also collaborative, leaning on a supportive team and a defined ramp. They take pride in bridging the gap between digital workflows and field teams, and in becoming the first call a contractor makes when a new project kicks off.

Major Objectives

Objective 1: Own inbound conversion and net-new revenue

Carry full responsibility for converting inbound demand and closing net-new logos. Build and maintain a qualified pipeline in Salesforce, run the full cycle (qualification, discovery, estimating, proposal, close), and hit assigned revenue and pipeline targets. Targets are set with the Director based on inbound volume and ramp.

Objective 2: Own the trades, specialty, and SMB segment

Own trades, specialty contractors and SMB general contractors and serve as the team's concrete and self-perform subject-matter expert on enterprise deals owned by others. Sell the full VIATechnik stack and lead with field-execution value instead of software features.

Objective 3: Land and expand

Convert project-based wins into repeat relationships. Each quarter, identify at least one account and invest the white-glove attention needed to move it from a single project to a recurring, enterprise-track account.

Objective 4: Protect forecast integrity

Maintain an accurate, current pipeline in Salesforce (stage, close date, value). Forecast honestly and early.

Objective 5: Sharpen the sell and studio coordination

Improve the machinery that supports the sale, such as estimating speed and accuracy, proposal quality, and sales-to-ops handoff completeness. Coordinate with the studio on scoping and capacity. The focus is on strengthening the speed and quality of the sales process.

Critical Responsibilities

Sales Execution
  • Qualify inbound, run discovery, prepare estimates with the studios, develop proposals, and close contracts across the assigned tier.
  • Maintain an accurate, current Salesforce pipeline, including opportunity stage, expected close date and deal value.
  • Follow the sales strategy and process defined by the GC Sales Team and Director.

Prospecting and Inbound Conversion
  • Own the inbound queue for non-named accounts and respond promtly.
  • Prospect selectively into net-new mid-market and regional GCs that fit the ideal profile.
  • Pursue the right opportunities. Protect average deal size by steering away from low-value one-off work that does not open a larger account.

Account Development (Land and Expand)
  • Build multi-threaded relationships within target accounts (VDC, preconstruction, project executives, and self-perform operations).
  • Grow at least one project-based account per quarter into a repeat relationship.
  • Coordinate graduation of qualifying accounts with the Director.

Forecasting and CRM Accuracy
  • Keep Salesforce current and detailed; provide honest, early forecasts.
  • Document scope, verbal commitments, client dynamics, and risk factors for complete sales-to-ops handoffs.

Process and Studio Coordination
  • Contribute to estimating speed and accuracy for assigned pursuits.
  • Lead complete sales-to-ops handoffs so delivery teams receive full project context.
  • Coordinate scoping and capacity planning with the studio.

Culture and Situational Fit

VIATechnik's GC team is collaborative, direct, and cosued on building lasting client relationships. The approach is consultative and low-pressure. We win by being the partner a contractor already buys from. Leaders practice servant leadership and support ramp, and the team wins together and loses together.

Success depends on a growth mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to earn trust with both clients and internal teams. The role carries meaningful travel, primarily across the Midwest, with national inbound coverage. The right person is energized by face-to-face relationship building and comfortable operating with limited day-to-day oversight.

Win Win Statement

Win the inbound. Build the book. Grow something durable.

Compensation and featured benefits:
  • The pay for this position is $290,000 - $350,000 OTE (60% base / 40% variable performance-based incentive compensation). The actual salary offer may be different as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience
  • Health insurance with the choice of five plan options. We cover 70-95% of premiums for VIATechies and 65% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plan chosen)
  • Dental and vision insurance. We cover up to 75% of the monthly insurance premiums for VIATechies and up to 50% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plans chosen)
