Moore is looking for an experienced
Account Director to join our Fundraising team. In this role, you will lead key client relationships, develop and execute strategic fundraising and direct response campaigns, and partner with internal teams to deliver successful results.
Job SummaryThe Account Director is responsible for leading assigned client accounts and supporting the development and execution of successful fundraising and marketing programs. This position requires a strong understanding of creative design, direct response fundraising, production processes, audience strategy, and client relationship management.
The Account Director works closely with the Fundraising Group Vice President to understand client objectives, strategies, budgets, and performance expectations. This position leads and supports the Fundraising Group team to ensure fundraising and marketing campaigns are developed and executed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
The Account Director serves as a strategic partner to clients and internal teams and is expected to demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgment, organization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This position identifies opportunities to improve processes, strengthen client relationships, increase operational efficiencies, and support the continued growth of the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities- Lead the Fundraising Group team and coordinate client workload, responsibilities, priorities, and available resources.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, training, and mentorship to assigned team members.
- Establish clear expectations and ensure team members understand client requirements, priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Monitor team workload and performance to ensure client commitments and production deadlines are met.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and develop strong, professional client relationships.
- Meet regularly with clients to understand long-term objectives, fundraising goals, budgets, requirements, and expectations.
- Lead internal and client meetings to develop and implement strategies designed to maintain, improve, and expand fundraising programs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive mail plans for assigned accounts, including short- and long-term objectives and strategies for achieving established goals.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, projections, and reports for assigned clients, including projected donations, mailing expenses, cash flow, and donor activity.
- Analyze account performance, fundraising results, client trends, and other relevant data to identify opportunities and recommend appropriate strategies.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding program performance, upcoming initiatives, project status, challenges, and opportunities.
- Serve as the point of escalation for client concerns, service issues, or project challenges and coordinate timely and appropriate resolution.
- Investigate client concerns and work collaboratively with internal departments to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations, reports, strategic recommendations, and other business communications.
- Contribute to annual business planning by identifying client trends, anticipated client needs, growth opportunities, and potential business risks.
- Develop short-term and long-term strategic plans designed to strengthen client satisfaction, retention, and account performance.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships, programs, or services when appropriate.
- Develop and implement innovative approaches to improve existing processes, client services, workflows, and operational efficiencies.
- Partner with creative, production, data, lettershop, fulfillment, and other internal departments to ensure client expectations and project requirements are clearly communicated and executed.
- Maintain knowledge of current postal regulations, mailing requirements, print technologies, direct response practices, and industry trends applicable to assigned accounts.
- Utilize internal proprietary systems and software to obtain, analyze, maintain, and report client and program-related information.
- Learn and maintain proficiency in the Aegis CRM system and other systems required for the position.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the full fulfillment and production process, including data entry, creative development, print production, mailing, and lettershop operations.
- Maintain accurate client documentation, account information, reports, correspondence, project records, and other required files.
- Establish priorities and organize work to effectively manage multiple client accounts, projects, deadlines, and changing business needs.
- Ensure client requests, questions, concerns, and issues are addressed accurately and within appropriate timelines.
- Maintain open, clear, and timely communication with team members regarding client conversations, decisions, goals, changes, and expectations.
- Maintain confidentiality of client, donor, company, and other sensitive or proprietary information.
- Demonstrate professional judgment and discretion when making decisions affecting clients, projects, team resources, budgets, and business operations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, or a related field preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of agency, direct response, account management, or related experience preferred.
- Experience working with nonprofit fundraising programs and direct response marketing strongly preferred.
- Three (3) or more years of experience leading, coaching, training, or supervising team members preferred.
- Experience managing complex client relationships, budgets, campaigns, and multiple concurrent projects preferred.
- Experience with direct mail, print production, fundraising campaigns, or related production environments preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, through virtual meetings, and electronically.
- Ability to occasionally move or lift office materials and supplies weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
