4G/5G RAN Test Engineer III

TeleWorld Solutions is seeking a RAN Test Engineer III to join our team! Join a cutting-edge wireless engineering team driving the future of connectivity. As a RAN Test Engineer III, you will play a critical role in validating next-generation LTE and 5G NR Radio Access Network (RAN) technologies. This role sits at the intersection of product validation, performance engineering, and customer engagement, ensuring seamless interoperability and best-in-class network performance.

 

You’ll work hands-on in lab and customer environments, collaborating with global teams to bring innovative wireless solutions to life.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development of product validation, feature validation, systems and performance analysis, customer review sessions for LTE & 5G RAN products focusing on Air interface, E2E performance, and Call Processing.• Responsible for Test execution in customer lab, Report creation and customer presentation.• Analyzing the product and feature requirements, converting them into system test cases and execution to ensure product meets customer spec.• Aid in product & feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product & SW releases• Perform detailed analysis of 4G& 5G Wireless Protocols• Responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting the issues• Educate our customers on Samsung’s new products and services both individually and in a team environment.• Ensures that customer commitments are achieved according to plan.• Works closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product roll-outs and developments.• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (required)
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in wireless/RAN testing
• OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of 4G LTE & 5G NR technologies, including:
• DL/UL scheduling
• Power control
• Beamforming
• MIMO
• EN-DC
• Deep understanding of:
• RAN architecture & air interface technologies
• Protocol stack: PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, PDCP
• Experience with:
• 3GPP standards and release cycles
• System testing: validation, test planning, parameter tuning
• Lab and IOT testing environments
• EMS systems and network element management
• Software upgrades, MOP validation
• Familiarity with:
• NB-IoT, eMTC
• S1 / X2 interfaces
• Core + RAN integration

Nice to Have

• Exposure to software development or automation scripting
• Experience working in multi-vendor environments (Samsung, Ericsson, Nokia, etc.
