Job Summary
Under the direction of the COIL Governance Council, and as confirmed with FUSD Human Resources, the Executive Director/Principal (ED/P) provides executive, educational, and strategic leadership for COIL, a locally funded, district-dependent, non-classroom-based TK-12 public charter school authorized by the Fremont Unified School District (FUSD). Reporting to the COIL Governance Council, the ED/P is accountable for the school's mission, instructional quality, organizational performance, fiscal sustainability, and legal and charter compliance. COIL operates within FUSD's applicable human resources, finance,
purchasing, payroll, and facilities processes. The ED/P directs COIL's school-level priorities and coordinates with designated FUSD departments rather than exercising independent district-level authority over those functions.
