Senior Manager Process Risk Reduction - Enterprise Technology Services Governance & Control
Enterprise Technology Services Governance & Control Process Risk Reduction is a project-based team delivering strategic, scalable solutions to strengthen processes, improve control effectiveness, and reduce operational risk across Enterprise Platforms & Data and Technology Business Management.
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Process Risk, with robust knowledge of IT and Operational risk practices, to help drive the transformational development of a scalable risk management model for platform products with an optimized control model. Bringing cross-functional stakeholders on the journey to implementation through thoughtful relationship management, along with supporting C-suite progress updates. Additionally, the Senior Manager of Process Risk will drive the development of risk reduction reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities
• Progress the development of targeted platform product framework components through strong collaboration with key stakeholders. Formulating scalable solutions aligned with industry practices.
• Develop complementary ways of working across business and platform teams to uphold the platform product framework in day-to-day practices.
• Formally document relevant guidance.
• Support the development of guidance for other key areas of focus for platform products, such as modernization and migration activities.
• Manage Process Risk project deliverables against accelerated timelines and across multiple stakeholders.
• Develop reporting and/or analytics that inform the identification of emerging risk/opportunities for risk reduction.
• Support identification and prioritization of strategic Process Risk initiatives.
• Provide independent support for resolution of high-risk issues, significant process improvement, and control enhancement when determined appropriate for Process Risk engagement
• Document learnings from initiatives in support of sharing insights, better practices, themes, etc. across the enterprise
• Foster a culture of risk awareness and ongoing improvement within the team and the broader organization.
Qualifications
• 4+ Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities
• Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Extensive experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively
• Strong understanding of IT Risk Management practices
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous
• Experience in at least one of the following:
• Consulting background with large-scale project management experience
• Identifying and prioritizing areas that require risk reduction measures
• Delivering transparent, data-driven reporting to support executive decision-making
• Executing on process risk reduction to ensure timely resolution of issues that are of highest priority and/or most significant impact
• Managing root cause analyses focused on identifying organizational, thematic concerns/opportunities
• Development of risk analytics and trending analysis
• Managing monitoring and tracking the implementation of process changes, ensuring they are effective in reducing risk and align with the organization's risk appetite
• Experience in financial services industry.
