Full Job Description
Are you excited by the opportunity to turn complex data into products that make a meaningful difference for financial institutions? As Senior Manager of Data Products, you'll shape the vision and roadmap for Business Intelligence platforms, data science applications, APIs, and market-facing data solutions. You'll bring together engineering, data science, UX, operations, and go-to-market teams to translate customer and business needs into scalable, high impact products from early discovery through launch and continued growth.

This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Charlotte, NC; Overland Park, KS; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO; Louisville, KY; Cedar Falls, IA; or Birmingham, AL. All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

What you'll be responsible for:
• Defines and communicates the product vision, problem statements, target user personas, business objectives, and success metrics for assigned data products.
• Owns and prioritizes the product roadmap and backlog; evaluates trade-offs, sequences deliverables, and makes release/prioritization decisions aligned with business goals.
• Authors comprehensive product documentation, including product briefs, decision records, release notes, and executive status updates.
• Partners with UX, Business Analysis, Architecture, and Data Science teams to translate business requirements into user stories, technical specs, and APIs.
• Facilitates sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and risk/blocker mitigation in collaboration with engineering leadership.
• Drives User Acceptance Testing (UAT), verifies acceptance criteria, and oversees go-live readiness and post-release enhancements.
• Serves as a primary liaison to clients, financial institution partners, and internal executives to present roadmap progress, product concepts, and strategic priorities.
• Articulates the value proposition of the company's data suite against custom cloud data builds (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Manages cross-functional trade-off discussions across engineering, architecture, governance, and commercial teams to maintain organizational alignment.
• Leads cross-organizational coordination to support data harvesting and integration across product lines in alignment with enterprise data strategy.
• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
• Collaborates with go-to-market and operations teams to establish operational readiness, customer support models, and launch strategies for data products.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, technical product management, data science, or product ownership.
• Previous formal experience leading and managing teams.
• Ability to communicate with executives and customers.

What would be nice for you to have:
• Ability to drive the strategy and success of large projects which contribute to multiple areas of the organization.
• Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence data product suite roadmaps and backlog.
• Ability to set priorities and work with product teams.
• Working knowledge of data platforms, data products, and analytics offerings (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure/GCP/AWS).
• Ability to gather requirements, run discovery, and explain roadmap tradeoffs to Financial Institution (FI) partners and internal partners.
• Can plan work across teams: backlog cleanup, release order, dependencies, UAT/release support, and
• Strong written communication skills, including product briefs, requirements, decision records, roadmap documentation, and status updates.
• Ability to use Python for analysis, automation, or data/ML-related work.
• Ability to identify customer needs, validate problems, gather feedback, and translate insights into product opportunities and requirements.
