Full Job Description
The Senior Lead, Merger, Acquisition & Corporate Development plays a key role in shaping Goodyear's long-term growth and portfolio strategy. The position leads strategic planning, evaluates acquisition, partnership, and divestiture opportunities, and supports execution of complex transactions from opportunity assessment through integration. Through rigorous market, financial, and strategic analysis, the incumbent provides recommendations that inform capital allocation, portfolio optimization, and enterprise value creation.

What you'll do

  • Guide development of corporate and business portfolio strategy.
  • Conduct analyses to frame key strategic issues and growth opportunities.
  • Support development and refinement of long-term growth strategies, including organic and inorganic initiatives.
  • Lead strategic scenario planning and portfolio analyses to inform capital allocation and portfolio decisions.
  • Evaluate industries, markets, and companies to identify strategic acquisition, partnership, and divestiture opportunities.
  • Lead corporate development and strategic planning analyses to support portfolio decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of acquisition, partnership, and divestiture opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Assess market dynamics, competitive positioning, and strategic fit to prioritize opportunities.
  • Lead industry analysis and target identification.
  • Perform valuation analyses for acquisition, divestiture, and investment opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional due diligence efforts to assess strategic, operational, and financial risks.
  • Support execution of transactions from evaluation through closing.
  • Develop investment recommendations supported by financial and strategic analyses.
  • Create materials to support strategic decision-making and executive discussions.
  • Present valuation, market, and strategic insights to senior leadership.
  • Support negotiations and stakeholder alignment throughout transaction processes.
  • Support negotiation of transaction terms and commercial agreements.
  • Support development and execution of integration and value creation plans.
  • Identify transaction risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support transaction structuring to maximize value.
  • Monitor post-close performance against synergy and value creation targets.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field. Preferred: MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent advanced business/finance credential.
  • 7+ years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Strategy, Consulting, or related fields.
  • Experience evaluating and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, or strategic investments.
  • Strong background in financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting transaction execution, due diligence, and integration activities.
