What you'll be doing

CIBC Global Asset Management is among Canada's largest investment managers, with over $398 billion in assets under management and a broad range of investment solutions designed to meet the needs of institutional, mass market, mid, and high-net-worth clients. As a Senior Manager, Product Management, you'll lead the strategy, oversight, and execution of product management activities that support CIBC's investment products. You'll direct the development and production of product materials, including fund fact sheets, commentaries, performance reporting, and sales support tools, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and aligned with brand and governance standards. You'll lead key projects, optimize workflows, and establish effective operating practices that improve efficiency and strengthen execution across the team. Working closely with partners across product, marketing, sales, digital, governance, and other business teams, you'll help drive product initiatives that support asset growth, client retention, and a consistent experience across channels. In this senior role, you'll also provide leadership, guidance, and direction that elevates team performance and supports the continued evolution of the product management function.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $92,490 to $127,200.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How you'll succeed

  • Lead product management execution - Oversee the development, review, and production of product support materials, including fund fact sheets, commentaries, performance reports, and sales tools, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Drive strategic initiatives - Lead product-related projects, campaigns, and initiatives that support the growth and retention of assets, while balancing timelines, stakeholder needs, and governance requirements.
  • Strengthen operational effectiveness - Optimize workflows, refine production processes, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy across the product management function.
  • Manage governance and controls - Oversee the collateral library and ensure materials are maintained, updated, and published in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate across teams - Build strong relationships with partners across marketing, sales, digital, governance, and product teams to enable seamless execution and effective delivery of product content and initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and direction - Guide team priorities, support decision-making, and contribute to a high-performing environment that encourages accountability, continuous improvement, and strong partnership.


Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in product management, product support material development, performance reporting, workflow optimization, and cross-functional project leadership. It's an asset if you have experience in asset management, wealth management, or investment product marketing.
  • You have relevant experience. You bring 5+ years of experience in financial services, with strong knowledge of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), alternative investments and the asset management industry.
  • You know that details matter. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.

  • You work effectively with a variety of tools. You have experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint. It's an asset if you have experience with Morningstar Direct, automation tools, or systems used to streamline recurring product support materials.
  • You have a degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. It's an asset if you have completed the Canadian Securities Course or have knowledge of National Instrument 81-102 for marketing and sales communications.
