Power BI Developer

Lead I - Data Engineering

(Remote, Costa Rica)

UST is searching for an experienced Power BI Developer with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions.

The opportunity:
• Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into analytical and reporting solutions.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Create and maintain data models, measures, and calculations using DAX.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and report performance optimization.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver impactful insights.
• Troubleshoot report issues and provide ongoing support and enhancements.

What you need:
• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development.
• Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard design.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in query optimization.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and performance tuning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
