We are currently seeking a
MuleSoft Solution Architect - Remote Canada PositionWe are seeking a highly experienced
MuleSoft Solution Architect who can operate independently and bring authoritative technical leadership across integration design, solution governance, review cycles, and delivery quality.
This role requires someone who can act as an advocate, challenge assumptions, enforce best practices, and guide project teams toward robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with deep expertise in MuleSoft, API-led design, integration patterns, and enterprise architecture someone who is comfortable reviewing code, defining standards, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead end-to-end MuleSoft solution architecture using API-Led Connectivity and enterprise integration patterns.
- Define integration strategies, architecture blueprints, and canonical data models.
- Translate complex business requirements into well-architected MuleSoft services and APIs.
- Establish and enforce architectural governance, best practices, and design guidelines.
- Create HLDs, LLDs, API specifications (RAML/OAS), and integration flow-design documentation.
Technical Leadership & Code Review- Perform detailed design and code reviews of MuleSoft implementations performed by developers.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, error-handling frameworks, logging, MUnit testing coverage, and performance baselines.
- Identify potential scalability, security, and performance risks early and mitigate them.
- Review integrations for scalability, resiliency, maintainability, and security.
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex integration challenges.
MuleSoft Platform Governance- Own the governance of the Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange.
- Establish and manage policies for API security, throttling, analytics, and monitoring.
- Configure dashboards, alerts, and proactive monitoring to ensure production stability
Integration Delivery Support- Support project teams during development, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues involving Mule runtimes, connectors, networking, auth configurations, or environment issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including enterprise architects, security teams, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory- Act as an advocate to challenge proposed designs and ensure technical integrity.
- Provide thought leadership on API strategy, integration modernization, and future-state architecture.
- Lead workshops, POCs, and technical deep dives with business and technology teams.
- Mentor developers and guide them on MuleSoft best practices.
Required Qualifications- 10+ years experience, with significant focus on integration architecture.
- 5+ years experience leading integration teams
- 8+ years in integration architecture, with
- 5+ years experience specific to MuleSoft.
- 5+ years experience in Mule 4.x and DataWeave 2.x
- 5+ years experience in API Manager, Anypoint Studio, Exchange, Runtime Manager
- 5+ years experience in CloudHub 2.0 deployments
- 5+ years experience in OAuth, Raml etc
- 5+ years experience in Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP)
Preferred Skills- Salesforce Datacloud and Sabre System.
- Ability to question assumptions, challenge decisions, and enforce standards respectfully.
- High level of independence; able to drive results without handholding.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including dealing with senior stakeholders.
- Analytical thinker with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
MuleSoft Certifications - Requiered
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect - Level 1 (MCIA-Level 1)
- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect - Level 1 (MCPA-Level 1)
- MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1 (MCD-Level 1)

#LI-NorthAmericaNTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for Canada-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is $140,992.00 to $187,990.00 This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all Canada locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
