Job DescriptionGENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Information Technology Services team is looking for an experienced Network Architect to perform senior level
enterprise network design, build, and continuous review; provide operational support for the networking infrastructure
(LAN/WAN); collaborate on crossfunctional projects; drive the research and implementation of new networking
services and capabilities for a statewide network. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer
service skills, manage vendor support, and collaborate across teams to fulfill requests, resolve issues, and
continuously improve services and service delivery. This is a technical position and will require a strong understanding
of Cisco and Meraki systems as well as other networking services.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS- Provide seniorlevel design, configuration, and maintenance of networking systems, including LAN, WAN, Internet,
intranet, wireless equipment and services that support endusers and/or technical staff. Monitor and analyze network
systems for security, usage, availability, performance, and recommend appropriate actions and improvements - Use automation tools, scripts, and templates to create effective repetitive processes to securely, efficiently, and consistently manage an enterprise network.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to technical staff. Guide teamwork efforts on operational duties and
projects. - Prepare briefings, reports, and evaluations on systems efficiency and utilization; establish and ensure that appropriate
security controls maintained and enforced; develop and documents procedures, training manuals, and conduct
presentations. - Participate in technical working groups strategizing for future requirements and propose architecture designs and
enhancements based on business needs and/or improving realized ROI. - Work in a collaborative team environment. Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and peers.
- Assists or manages special projects; provides technical guidance and directions to others.
- Performs related work as assigned

- Attends work regularly in compliance with agreedupon work schedule. Telework schedules are permitted for employees based on the agency's approved Telework Plan, as long as schedule does not adversely affect operations and service levels, and standard hours of operation are maintained.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Experience: 6 years of fulltime experience with network design, installation, management, and support, including
routing and switching, firewalls, wireless, and VoIP systems; may substitute credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience on a yearforyear basis. - Experience: scripting, orchestrations and/or automation of technical processes across an enterprise
- Knowledge of Networking facilities, security software, and performance monitoring and capacity management tools.
- Knowledge: Cisco and Meraki switches, routers, and wireless products; BGP, MPLS, NAC, VLANs, ACLs, HSRP,
TACACS+, VoIP, DHCP, DNS, Multicast, 802.1x, OSPF, OSI and TCP/IP models. - Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
- Skill in effective oral and written communication
- Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
- Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG workspace within OAG work location, and perform inperson work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)
- Ability to arrange for personal transportation for businessrelated travel
- Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
- Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
- Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 15%
