Full Job Description

What Will You Do?  

IT Asset Management:

  • Oversee the full IT software & hardware asset life cycles, from acquisition to disposal
  • Implement and maintain IT asset management policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with asset management standards
  • Utilize the CMDB for asset management and advance ITAM maturity within Ivanti ITAM tool to optimize processes, increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure all IT assets comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements and work with IT leadership to develop plans to address noncompliance
  • Work closely with the security team to implement measures that protect IT assets from threats and vulnerabilities

Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and interpret licensing terms & requirements to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency, while managing risk
  • Evaluate vendor effectiveness and address issues which cause elevated risks
  • Expert in vendor licensing models, risks, and trends, providing guidance to IT leadership and budget owners
  • Partner with Sourcing and Legal teams to create predictability and streamline IT vendor intake and negotiation processes

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate reports on IT asset performance, utilization, and costs – (performance is Client Computing)
  • Analyze cost-effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) for IT assets
  • Leverage industry insights and data, providing recommendations to management based on data analysis
  • Understand and advise on SaaS and AI licensing models, including the tracking and costs
  • Track metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of IT asset management practices

JOB DIMENSIONS:

What Do You Need?  

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:  

  • 5+ years IT Asset & Vendor management or related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of licensing models, compliance frameworks, and lifecycle strategy
  • Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, ROI, depreciation)
  • Demonstrated experience leading audits and enterprise initiatives
  • Advanced analytical, reporting, and data storytelling capabilities
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and mentor others

It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between ​$ 83,000-112,000 ​. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
