A Sales Manger is responsible for a sales team. Moving up from the autonomy of sales specialist, responsible for one’s own performance, to a managerial position, is a huge leap. Team goals, team performance, team strengths and weaknesses, are the core responsibility of sales management. To perform well, the sales manager must create sales forecasts and analyze performance data, create and implement strategy, and ensure the sales team hit their quotas. Qualifications include strong sales achievement, some managerial experience, ideally a bachelor’s degree and familiarity within the specific field.
