What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Partnership & Account Leadership
  • Act as the primary technical authority and trusted advisor for identity leads, enterprise architects, and technical executives within your assigned strategic accounts.
  • Independently design and drive multi-year technical adoption roadmaps aligned with customer security posture and business goals.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and Account Executives to secure Okta's footprint against competitive displacement and identify expansion opportunities.
Technical Execution, API Prototyping & Advocacy
  • Hands-On Demos & PoCs: Configure test environments (e.g., Salesforce developer tenants) and build Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to demonstrate live SAML/OIDC integrations, custom login widgets, and Adaptive MFA policies.
  • API Validation & Scripting: Use Postman to test and validate Okta REST APIs (executing CRUD operations for user/group lifecycle management and policy automation).
  • Complex Problem Resolution: Dissect multi-faceted enterprise issues, proactively identify technical risks, and independently drive escalations through Engineering and Support.
  • Serve as the voice of the strategic customer internally, influencing Okta product management and roadmap decisions.
Thought Leadership & Mentorship
  • Deliver custom technical workshops, architectural reviews, and best-practice sessions for customer engineering teams.
  • Develop repeatable technical assets, Postman collections, and deployment strategy guides for the global TAM organization.
  • Mentor P1/P2 peers, driving team enablement and technical capability expansion.
What You'll Bring to the Role
  • Experience: 5+ years of related technical experience in customer-facing engineering roles (or 4+ years with a Master's degree), including 3+ years as a Technical Account Manager, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, or Senior Support Engineer.
  • Domain Knowledge: 3+ years in identity and access management (SSO, MFA, directory services, lifecycle management, or zero trust architectures).
  • Education & Certifications: BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience). Okta Certified Administrator/Consultant, CISSP, or equivalent certifications preferred.

  • Enterprise Ecosystems: Experience integrating major SaaS platforms (Salesforce, Workday, Office 365, Box) via SAML, SCIM, and automated provisioning workflows.
  • Security & SIEM: Familiarity with risk-based authentication policies, behavioral analysis, and syslog monitoring/SIEM integrations.
