Full Job Description
About the Role

Klir is scaling fast, and hiring well is one of the highest-leverage things we can do as a company. We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to own full-cycle recruitment across the business - with a particular focus on Sales and technical talent - and to build the kind of proactive, always-on pipeline that lets us move on great people the moment we find them, not just when a req opens. This is a newly created, dedicated role: today, recruiting is split between our VP of People and a generalist People Ops specialist alongside their other responsibilities. This role exists to change that.

Location: This position is hybrid (2-days in office) & based in Toronto.

What You'll Do

  • Own full-cycle recruitment - sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and close - for open roles across Sales, Payments, Customer Success, Product, and beyond.
  • Build and continuously maintain a warm, proactive pipeline of Sales talent, so we're ready to move on exceptional candidates even when every seat is filled.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and the VP of People to shape role requirements, interview plans, and hiring criteria before a search even begins.
  • Own the candidate experience end to end - timely communication, clear feedback, and a process that reflects well on Klir at every stage.
  • Track and report on recruitment KPIs - time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, funnel conversion, and pipeline health - and use them to keep improving how we hire.
  • Own our ATS, job postings, and recruitment documentation, keeping our process clean, current, and audit-ready.
  • Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies where we still use them, with a clear goal of reducing that reliance over time through direct sourcing.
  • Flex into interview panels for select roles, supporting hiring managers and lightening their load.
  • Move quickly when surge hiring needs come up - a new product line or a scale-up in an existing one - without missing a beat on quality.

What You'll Bring

Experience

  • A track record of success recruiting inside a startup or high-growth tech environment - you know the pace, the ambiguity, and the energy that comes with scaling, and you thrive in it.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and hiring Sales and technical talent specifically.
  • Experience recruiting across North American markets, including both the US and Canada.
  • A track record of owning recruitment KPIs - time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, pipeline metrics - and reporting on them with real numbers, not just a sense of how things are going.
  • Comfort with modern sourcing and ATS tools (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • Demonstrable use of AI to move faster and work smarter.

Competencies

  • Grit and determination - the best hires rarely come easily, and this role rewards persistence.
  • Agility, and genuine comfort navigating ambiguity - our priorities move fast, and so should you.
  • Curiosity - about people, about roles, about what makes someone the right fit, not just a qualified one.
  • Strong partnership and internal communication skills - you'll work closely with hiring managers and leaders across the company, not just candidates.
  • Strong alignment with Klir Company Values.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Base salary: CAD $80,000 - $100,000, depending on experience, plus equity.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Hybrid: 2 days per week in our Toronto office (Tuesday & Thursday), with flexibility the rest of the week.
  • This is a newly created, permanent, full-time position.
  • Candidates must already be legally authorized to work in Canada; we're not able to sponsor a visa for this role.

The pay range for this role is:

80,000 - 100,000 CAD per year (Canada)
