The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a qualified Department of War (DoW) employee to fill a full-time Supervisory Acquisition Program Manager (GG-1101-14) to work at Joint Base San Antonio, Lackland, TX.
This is a unique opportunity to serve as the Deputy Branch Chief for Unified Platform, where you will be instrumental in providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory program management employees assigned to Unified Platform.
We are looking for a leader who has:
Expert knowledge of system acquisition and management of critical segments of the development, production, and/or deployment of systems.
Proven experience working in cross-functional teams.
A deep understanding of program management principles, policies, and laws.
The ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing staff.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Experience in agile software development is highly preferred.
Salary: $127,624 - $165,917
Travel: Up to 25% travel
Remote/Telework: No remote or telework

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.

Qualifications/Requirements:
In this position you will serve as a senior level multi-faceted security professional with operational and technical expertise of Air Force (AF) special access programs (SAPs) combined with detailed knowledge of the AF physical, information, personnel, industrial, and administrative security programs. Responsible for providing required and innovative security solutions to support the presentation of information operations capabilities to the deliberate and crisis action planning forces for 24 AF/ Air Combat Command (ACC) to include classification reviews for Joint, Unified, Qualifications
US citizenship is required.
Positions is designated critical-sensitive and employee must be able to acquire a Top-Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
This is a drug testing position. Must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
This position is Acquisition Category A, Level III and must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act no later than 24 months after accepting this position.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide the acquisition program management support necessary to meet the strategic goals of the Unified Platform Branch.
Be responsible for all acquisition program management and sustainment support to Cyberspace Operations.
Guide programs using Agile methodologies throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead and execute numerous projects providing infrastructure and war-fighting capabilities in support of cyber activities including both unclassified and highly classified acquisition and sustainment efforts.
Experience Requested: 6-9 years' experience requested.
