Special Access Program (SAP) Security Specialist & Government Special Access Security Officer (GSSO)
Serve as a frontline guardian of our nation's most sensitive secrets. Key Responsibilities:
- SAP & SCI Security Administration: Implement, monitor, and enforce rigorous security programs to protect highly classified enclaves and specialized mission assets.
- Counter-Threat Operations: Defend the organization against espionage, sabotage, terrorism, and the compromise of vital defense information.
- Personnel & Clearance Operations: Centrally manage personnel clearance processing, conduct mandatory security briefings/training, and oversee security incident investigations.
- Integrated Force Protection: Coordinate with the security management team to execute Physical Security, Force Protection, Antiterrorism, and Industrial Security pipelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Designated special-sensitive and requires a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a TS w/SCI clearance.
- Obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise
- May be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
- May occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours
- Designated as a national security position
- Designated drug testing position. The employee is subject to random drug testing.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD) 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirement(s) may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the Air Force (AF) Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative. Special Programs Security Credential (SPSC) is recommended, but not required.
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. In-depth knowledge of SAP security concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Extensive knowledge of Air Force Material Command (AFMC)s mission, functions, and structure to the unit level to ensure effective implementation and oversight of special programs security concepts, principles, and practices.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of all Information Security disciplines and governing policies, directives, instructions, and procedures.
4. Expert knowledge of General Supply Administration (GSA) specifications; state-of-the-art detection and surveillance systems, construction standards, automated data processing systems and other security concepts to integrate the requirements of all security disciplines into guidance for the implementation and management of the AFMC special programs information security program.
5. Expert knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct surveys/studies, accomplish projects, and effectively evaluate results for the effective management and completion of programs.
6. Able to effectively manage and organize various program activities and tasks, singularly and together, and familiar with administrative requirements of USAF and Air Force Material Command (AFMC).
