Full Job Description
Support Federated Wireless' pre-sales and technical solutioning efforts by executing data-driven analysis, developing technical artifacts, and translating complex wireless, spectrum, and geospatial concepts into customer-ready insights. This role bridges engineering, analytics, and customer engagement, enabling effective technical conversations and accelerating solution development. This position is designed for an early-career professional with strong problem-solving ability, Python skills, and a demonstrated ability to independently drive tasks from ambiguity to structured, high-quality outputs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with data, maps, engineering assumptions, customer requirements, and evolving product concepts. Your Impact • Execute technical and analytical tasks independently, driving open-ended work to actionable outcomes • Develop Python-based scripts and tools to automate workflows, process datasets, and generate analysis • Perform data analysis, market-level studies, and technical evaluations to support customer and internal initiatives • Work with structured and geospatial data including spreadsheets, CSVs, APIs, maps, shapefiles, rasters, and other engineering datasets • Create customer-ready deliverables, including presentations, technical briefs, visualizations, and maps • Support pre-sales efforts by preparing technical materials, analysis, and solution narratives for customer engagements • Support customer technical discussions by explaining analysis results, product capabilities, assumptions, and tradeoffs • Engage directly with customers and external stakeholders to understand technical requirements, answer questions, and help guide solution adoption and customer success. • Apply AI and automation techniques to improve productivity across technical workflows, including coding, data analysis, modeling, research, documentation, visualization, and deliverable creation, while validating outputs for accuracy, technical correctness, and appropriate use. • Review technical materials for accuracy, consistency, and clarity prior to internal and external use • Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to gather inputs, track progress, and close action items • Document analysis methods, assumptions, data sources and limitations for internal review and customer use Your Experience • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field • 2-4 years of relevant experience in technical analysis, engineering, data processing, GIS, wireless, spectrum, or similar roles • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data analysis • Experience with common data-analysis tools and libraries such as pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, or similar • Experience working with structured data (e.g., spreadsheets, CSVs, datasets) and technical documentation • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through ambiguity and identify practical next steps • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create polished, structured outputs • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills across multiple concurrent tasks • Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Demonstrated learning agility and ability to quickly ramp on new tools, technologies, and domains • Experience working directly with customers or external stakeholders in a technical, solutions-oriented, or support capacity • Preferred: Familiarity with geospatial analysis, mapping, wireless networks, RF propagation, or network-planning concepts, with the ability to quickly ramp on related tools, datasets, and technical workflows. Federated Wireless is unable to provide F1-OPT or other visa sponsorship. Location DC or Boston Metro areas. Onsite 5 days a week at either our Arlington, VA or Boston, MA office. The base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 to $110,000, and may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, Federated Wireless considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
