Description

About the Channel Technology and Sales Strategy Team

The Channel Technology and Sales Strategy team drives GTM effectiveness through innovation at the intersection of systems, people, and processes. We explore cutting-edge solutions, optimize sales workflows, and build strategic frameworks that empower our sales teams to operate at peak performance.

The Impact You'll Make

As the Senior Technical Product Manager, you will own the strategy and adoption of conversational intelligence and call coaching platforms across TELUS SMB, directly enabling our sales teams to coach smarter, forecast more accurately, and close bigger deals. Your work drives measurable improvements in seller performance and revenue impact.

You will report to the Manager of the Sales Technology team and combine strategic thinking, technical expertise, and cross-functional leadership to help lead our sales technology transformation. You will define and execute the vision of how we leverage conversational intelligence (AI-powered call coaching and pipeline insights that help sales teams improve performance) across TELUS SMB to elevate seller performance, customer engagement, and revenue predictability.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the roadmap and governance for our telephony platforms (NICE CX One, Ring Central, Genesys Cloud, Business Connect) ensuring alignment with business objectives and integration with Salesforce and other GTM systems
  • Define the strategy and vision for how we use call coaching and conversational intelligence to improve seller performance-including use cases, success metrics, and expected ROI
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify high-impact use cases and translate them into product requirements that drive behavioral changes and seller excellence
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to design and implement an analytics framework connecting call insights to pipeline performance and revenue (working with Business Intelligence teams to execute)
  • Drive adoption and enablement by leading the development of training resources, communication plans, and engagement programs that embed call coaching and AI into daily sales operations (partnering with enablement and sales operations teams)
  • Measure and report on impact by consistently tracking usage, ROI, and effects on key sales KPIs-providing visibility to leadership on your roadmap's business value
  • Create and present business cases to secure funding and leadership alignment for your roadmap priorities (quarterly reviews with director and VP stakeholders)

Qualifications

What You Bring

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years of product strategy, product management, or product operations experience - ideally with focus on sales technology, sales operations, telephony platforms, or enterprise GTM systems. Internal TELUS candidates from sales operations, sales analytics, or sales enablement with strong product thinking are encouraged to apply
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with at least ONE telephony platform (NICE CX One, Ring Central, Genesys Cloud, Business Connect) OR ONE conversational intelligence platform (Gong, Salesforce Einstein, Genesys Cloud). You can evaluate and iterate on your technology stack with credibility and hands-on understanding
  • Direct experience working with sales teams - either as a former sales professional, sales operations leader, or product manager selling to sales organizations. You understand sales cycles, deal stages, and the coaching moments that drive seller performance
  • Understanding of AI and generative AI fundamentals. You can evaluate emerging conversational intelligence tools, understand their capabilities and limitations, and articulate how they solve sales challenges. You don't need to be a data scientist, but you need to speak the language of AI-powered sales tools
  • Proven track record of leading adoption and change management for enterprise tools. You've designed and executed training programs, communication strategies, and engagement campaigns that drove user adoption and behavior change
  • Strong strategic communication and influence skills. You can create compelling business cases that secure leadership buy-in and fund your roadmap priorities. You can distill complex technical and data concepts for senior executives

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with multiple platforms in the telephony or conversational intelligence ecosystem (cross-platform understanding is a bonus, not a requirement)
  • Experience with Salesforce integration and CRM system architecture
  • Background in enterprise sales operations or sales enablement leadership

Why Come Work With Us

  • Strategic Leadership Authority: You own the strategy, roadmap, and adoption plan for a critical sales technology transformation. You have the power to directly influence how TELUS sells
  • High Revenue Impact: Your work directly affects seller performance, pipeline accuracy, and revenue outcomes. You'll measure and own the business results of your decisions
  • Modern Technology Stack: You'll work with leading-edge conversational intelligence and telephony platforms, evaluating emerging AI tools and translating them into competitive advantage
  • Flexible Work: We provide the tools and technology you need to work from wherever you're most productive

Salary Range: $86,000-$136,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, even if the posted salary range doesn't match your expectations. We're open to discussing competitive compensation packages tailored to your experience level and expertise. TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
  • Comprehensive total rewards package highlighting competitive salary and bonus structures, minimum 3 weeks of vacation, and flexible benefits plan to meet the needs of you and your family
  • Flexibility to work in-office, virtually or a combination of both, based on the role's requirements
  • Generous company matched pension and share purchase programs
