Senior PeopleSoft Finance Techno-Functional Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Finance Techno-Functional Specialist to support, enhance, and modernize our PeopleSoft Financials & Supply Chain Management (FSCM) environment. This role combines functional expertise with hands-on technical development to support business-critical finance operations, system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and emerging AI-driven automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate has deep PeopleSoft FSCM experience, strong development skills, and the ability to partner with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

PeopleSoft Finance & Production Support
  • Support and maintain the PeopleSoft FSCM environment, ensuring system reliability and performance.
  • Manage daily batch processing and support month-end and year-end financial close activities.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and business teams to resolve application and integration issues.

Development & System Enhancements
  • Design, develop, configure, and support PeopleSoft FSCM solutions and customizations.
  • Develop solutions using PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, and Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
  • Create functional and technical design documentation.
  • Configure and enhance core Finance and Supply Chain modules.

Upgrades & Release Management
  • Lead PeopleTools and PUM Image upgrades, including retrofit analysis and custom object remediation.
  • Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
  • Manage source code and change control using Phire or similar tools.

Integrations & Reporting
  • Develop and support integrations between PeopleSoft and external systems using web services and APIs.
  • Create reports and queries using SQR, BI Publisher, nVision, and PeopleSoft Query.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries in Oracle databases.

AI & Process Automation
  • Identify opportunities to modernize PeopleSoft through AI and automation.
  • Develop AI-assisted solutions for reporting, query generation, testing, and operational efficiencies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to improve business processes and system support.

Business Partnership
  • Serve as the technical and functional subject matter expert for PeopleSoft FSCM.
  • Gather business requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, IT, and external partners to deliver business value.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of PeopleSoft FSCM implementation, enhancement, or production support experience.

  • Experience supporting financial close processes and enterprise batch operations.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database 19c or later.

Pay Transparency

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $92,408 - $171,125. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
