The Senior Operations Analyst, Statement Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting the production of the 1832 Asset Management LP quarterly and annual statements. The incumbent works closely with vendors and internal teams to define process requirements and ensure that production deadlines are met, while ensuring accurate reporting. Additionally, they are responsible for providing support to project leaders & managers and are actively involved in business initiatives and process analysis.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
  • Ensure all quarterly and annual client statements are run, printed, reviewed, and sent to clients on time, adhering to strict quality standards
  • Review the accuracy of client portfolios by running various reports (Mpower and queries) to investigate and update discrepancies
  • Review and balance any Statement of Change and Detail of Holdings discrepancies
  • Co-ordinate with 1832 Asset Management business & internal and external partners for timely delivery of statements
  • Participate in testing and implementation of internal operational enhancements and troubleshoot items that arise
  • Create and deliver reporting that addresses the current needs of the 1832 Asset Management Business and collaborate with management to proactively anticipate future requirements and business impacts, including creating and updating SOPs as necessary
  • Perform customer service duties in a professional and thorough manner
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff including Senior Management, exercise proper judgement and ensure confidentiality is maintained
  • Set working priorities autonomously, or as part of the Operations team, ensuring deadlines are met for both standard and rush assignments
  • Maintain direct adherence to the Company and Bank security procedure
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • 3-5 years of operations experience and an in-depth understanding of the Canadian Investment Industry
  • Creativity, are a self-starter, results-oriented, and highly motivated with good analytical skills to provide resolution to complex business problems
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written to provide client support and maintain documentation
  • Excellent mathematical, conceptual, and problem- solving skills
  • The ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple initiatives with varying degrees of urgency and differing deadlines
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize errors and ensure accurate results
  • Sound knowledge of systems/application and computer technology, including strong Excel knowledge
  • The ability to be flexible as overtime will be required during peak periods
