Purpose

The Deposit Analytics Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in accelerating deposit revenue growth by delivering data-driven insights and strategic analytics. This role focuses on advancing product performance through deep analysis of pricing strategies, portfolio composition, and customer attrition trends, while strengthening both Product and Sales effectiveness.

Reporting to the Global Head of Insights and AI Analytics, the Senior Manager is responsible for translating complex data into actionable insights that drive business outcomes. This includes conducting in-depth analyses, identifying growth opportunities, and optimizing product and portfolio performance.

The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Sales, Operations, Enterprise Strategy, and Finance, to ensure alignment and effective execution of data-informed strategies.

The ideal candidate brings deep analytical expertise, executive presence, and a proven ability to build and sustain data-driven culture.

What You'll Do:
  • Interface with key areas in product specialists, technology and Sales, to develop business insights and transform complex data into actionable insights
  • Design, build, and deploy predictive models and analytics solutions using internal and external data to create actionable recommendations
  • Apply statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and AI techniques to generate insights from large, complex datasets
  • Prototype AI-enabled approaches, including large language models and automation, to deliver personalized, context-aware insights and recommendations
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth and productivity improvements leveraging internal and external data sources
  • Collaborate with engineering partners to implement scalable data pipelines, model deployment workflows, and analytics infrastructure
  • Ensure governance, security, documentation, and lineage standards are met across data and model integration processes
  • Cross-functional collaboration, act as liaison between product, operations and other key departments to ensure alignment in approach
  • Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and relevant risk appetite statements and limits. Communicate Bank's risk culture and appetite throughout the teams
  • Operates in accordance with Scotiabank's values, its Code of Conduct and Global Sales principles ensuring adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations related to operations, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk


What You'll Bring:
  • Degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience across experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles. Experience in transaction banking preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, Databricks for data extraction, transformation analysis, modeling, and production-grade implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, evaluate, and deploy predictive models and analytics solutions end-to-end.
  • Working knowledge of AI implementation in software development contexts, including modernization of legacy codebases.
  • Strong statistical and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex results into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to partner effectively across technical and non-technical teams to drive delivery and adoption.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously in dynamic environment while building scalable processes
