Job Purpose

The IT Business Relationship Manager coordinates business relationship management activities for assigned functions and supports alignment between business priorities and technology delivery. The role serves as a day-to-day technology contact for business stakeholders, supports demand intake and portfolio governance processes, contributes to capability and technology roadmaps, and provides day-to-day guidance to Business Partner Analysts focused on delivering measurable business value.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build productive relationships with business stakeholders and IT leaders within assigned functions.
  • Serve as a day-to-day technology relationship contact for assigned functions or capability areas, escalating strategic or high-impact matters as appropriate.
  • Identify technology opportunities, risks, and dependencies and develop recommendations for review by leadership.
  • Communicate business priorities, technology capacity, and delivery commitments to support stakeholder alignment.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of business capability and technology roadmaps.
  • Support the evaluation of technology requests against business priorities, operating needs, and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate planning and initiative discussions with business stakeholders and IT teams and document recommendations, decisions, and follow-up actions.
  • Research emerging capabilities and recommend practical opportunities that support assigned business needs.
  • Coordinate demand intake, assessment, and governance activities for assigned areas in accordance with established processes.
  • Analyze competing demands, resource constraints, risks, dependencies, and expected value and provide recommendations to decision-makers.
  • Track initiative status, delivery performance, adoption, risks, and expected benefits and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Escalate decisions, issues, and risks and provide supporting analysis and recommendations.
  • Provide day-to-day work direction, coaching, and support to Business Partner Analysts and coordinate assignments and priorities.
  • Support consistent work practices, role clarity, goals, and development activities in partnership with the department leader.
  • Promote a culture of partnership, accountability, inclusion, safety, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Recommend improvements to business relationship, analysis, governance, and stakeholder engagement methods.
  • Coordinate business readiness, change management, and technology adoption activities for assigned initiatives.
  • Support the definition and tracking of KPIs and value measures for technology initiatives and relationship effectiveness.
  • Prepare and communicate initiative progress, outcomes, and risks to business and IT stakeholders.
  • Work with appropriate teams to confirm that solutions and services address documented business continuity, compliance, security, and operational requirements.


What do I need to be successful?

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, business relationship management, operations, consulting, technology delivery, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, workstreams, or small teams and supporting cross-functional business or technology initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, planning, work coordination, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business and IT stakeholders to support measurable outcomes.
  • Experience supporting portfolio governance, change management, enterprise applications, and manufacturing or operational environments is preferred.
  • Business stakeholder satisfaction and effective relationship support.
  • Timely and accurate demand intake, analysis, coordination, and follow-through.
  • Quality of roadmap inputs, initiative tracking, and adoption support.
  • Consistent team coordination, work quality, and analyst development support.
  • Clear communication of status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated improvement in business processes, stakeholder engagement, and technology adoption.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Work Environment

  • This is a hybrid position based in our Nashville HQ
  • Office and manufacturing environments, with travel of 50% or more based on business needs
