Skill: QA Automation Engineer
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, Test Automation, and Quality Engineering.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile testing methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Hands-on experience in Playwright test automation framework development.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for automation scripting.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) automation suites.
• Experience transforming or migrating Selenium-based automation scripts to Playwright.
• Strong experience in API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of automation framework design, test strategy, and test execution.
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for database validation and backend testing.
• Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, ALM, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong experience with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or Azure Repos.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and batch processing systems.
• Ability to analyze job execution logs, automation logs, failures, and data load issues.
• Experience developing automated data validation and reconciliation frameworks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to ensure testability and coverage.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Playwright.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage, maintainability, scalability, and execution efficiency.
• Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and automation suites.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and maintain automated data validation and reconciliation processes.
• Execute API testing and validate integrations across multiple systems.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Work closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams to resolve quality issues.
• Validate fixes and ensure end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
• Create and maintain test data, automation assets, and testing documentation.
• Support release activities, production deployments, and post-release validations.
• Produce test execution reports, quality metrics, and status updates for stakeholders.
• Continuously improve QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Salary Range - $80,000-$90,000 a year
