Engineer-Information Services Intermediate
Summary
We are seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise wireless infrastructure across a large, complex environment, with a strong emphasis on wireless security, resiliency, performance, and standardization. The engineer will provide advanced troubleshooting and second-tier support, lead wireless deployments for new construction and infrastructure refreshes, monitor and optimize wireless performance, and partner closely with cybersecurity teams to strengthen network access controls, segmentation, authentication, rogue-device detection, and other security capabilities; the ideal candidate will bring strong enterprise Wi-Fi, network security, NAC/802.1X, RF design, troubleshooting, automation, and network-management experience while helping establish and maintain secure wireless architecture and operational standards.
Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience required.
• Healthcare, health insurance and health providers experience and understanding of processes is preferred.
• Experience working with hypervisors and scripting required.
• Requires experience working with vendors to quote moderately complex solutions.
• Cloud experience is preferred.
Role Responsibilities
Fulfills customer requirements via design/build/test/troubleshoot/document activities for enterprise-class datacenter computing hardware, software, networking tools and platforms. Evaluates, analyzes, configures, and implements new products and tools while ensuring appropriate operational monitoring is enabled. Provides support for logical networking and communications protocols, Microsoft products, Intel and midrange platforms, relational databases, and programming/scripting.
