A core challenge for this leader will be to run the team to identify and unlock the right opportunities in tight collaboration with the Product team by deeply assessing the current business model and systems landscape, while effectively leading and maturing a fully offshore-operated delivery model. Five Below's current supply chain domain includes capabilities and platforms spanning warehouse management, transportation and terminal operations, order orchestration, pack-by-store and store replenishment flows, eCommerce fulfillment, labor management, last-mile planning and delivery, store inbound shipment visibility, EDI and partner connectivity, mobile warehouse applications, automation-adjacent systems, and emerging global trade management capabilities.

What You'll Do
Engineering Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Supply Chain Engineering organization across engineering managers, architects, application engineering, integration delivery, production support, and technical leadership, including effective oversight of onshore, offshore, and partner teams
  • Set the technology vision and execution plan for supply chain systems in alignment with business priorities and enterprise architecture standards
  • Build organizational capability, succession depth, engineering rigor, and delivery predictability across a growing, fast-moving retail environment
  • Establish strong operating mechanisms for roadmap planning, execution management, incident review, and continuous improvement

Business Partnership
  • Partner with Supply Chain leaders and Product Management to shape the technology strategy, prioritize investments, and translate operational goals into engineering outcomes
  • Serve as a trusted leader for cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, strong alignment, and timely decision-making across business and technology teams
  • Work closely with stores, logistics, fulfillment, planning, and enterprise teams to deliver solutions that improve OTIF, fill rate, throughput, inventory accuracy, transportation cost, lead time, store inbound visibility, service levels, and overall operational efficiency

Delivery and Operations
  • Own the delivery and ongoing operation of mission-critical supply chain capabilities that support Five Below's retail business
  • Drive modern engineering practices across planning, estimation, quality, release management, observability, support readiness, and production stability
  • Define and maintain operational excellence measures that keep open system problem ticket counts in the single digits, with sustained focus on resolving the top 3 problem areas based on business value and urgency
  • Establish and lead strong operating disciplines for P1/P2 incident response, escalation management, service recovery, executive communication, and production readiness across business-critical supply chain systems
  • Lead complex programs spanning package software, custom development, third-party vendors, SaaS platforms, and enterprise integrations
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, supportable, and aligned to business continuity requirements
  • Lead engineering preparedness for disruption management, resiliency planning, business continuity, and rapid recovery across critical supply chain and logistics workflows
