Full Job Description
Consultant (Applications Consultant) (full-time; multiple openings) needed in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to develop, modify, and implement existing software to improve its performance based upon established design parameters. Gather and analyze client requirements to design and develop computer systems through systems development life cycle methodologies and business cases. Design and develop reusable and scalable enterprise application assets such as processes, decision rules, and workflow development. Create data models, workflow designs, and integration approaches. Involved in integration testing, system testing, troubleshooting, and support to deliver products with high quality and scalability. Check reports for software quality standards. Resolve issues in unit/component/integration test cases to improve quality. Analyze existing applications for performance and response time improvements. Conduct design review sessions to ensure the application meets required specifications. Interact with the development team and provide inputs for product enhancement, bug fixes, and releases. Conduct code walkthrough sessions and problem analysis for the identified issues. Perform impact analysis of any code or design changes. Review code quality, resolve merge and code change issues, and provide/revoke access to the code base as required. Involved in preparation of production deployment plan for developed applications. Conduct routine deployment escalations, streamline branch creation, and build automation processes.
Job Specification
Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Business, Engineering (any), Math, Information Technology, or related field, plus two (2) years of IT experience. Must have one (1) year of IT work experience with Java, GIT, and RESTful Web Services.
In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept three (3) years of post-secondary study in any field, plus three (3) years of IT experience. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required based on business needs. International travel not required. Travel not to exceed 5% / year for meetings and to complete assigned projects of varying lengths. Telecommuting may be permitted as needed.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $85,467.00-$158,550.00

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
