Full Job Description
ProSync is seeking a passionate Assessment Lead to oversee and conduct independent testing and evaluation of controls, validating security posture and assurance. They oversee structured control assessments, evidence evaluation, interviews, technical testing, and production of formal assessment reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assessment Lead manages assessment teams and ensures rigorous evaluation of controls following DoS assessment methodology.
  • Leads control assessments, interviews, sampling procedures, and technical validation activities.
  • Produces SARs, test procedures, risk ratings, and summary findings.
  • Serves as primary technical authority for RMF assessment accuracy.

Operations & Tasks Overseen
  • Execution of SP 800-53A test cases
  • Artifact evaluation and determination of control effectiveness
  • Assessment evidence tracking and documentation
  • Findings development and briefing delivery
  • Coordination with ISSO Support for cross-department alignment

Requirements
  • 8+ years of RMF assessment experience.
  • Strong familiarity with SP 800-53A, assessment test cases, and evidence evaluation.
  • Experience producing SARs, worksheets, and risk ratings.
  • A CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification is required.
  • CEH or equivalent Pen Testing certification is required.
  • A minimum Secret security clearance is required to be considered for this position with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. (We are not able to sponsor candidates for a security clearance)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in any field. (A technical specialization is preferred)
