A key player in the HR world, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for daily operational HR tasks. Programs, policies and procedures are all administered by the generalist. In reals terms this includes helping with recruitment, planning of space, employee welfare and safety, counseling and more. Tasks involving policy development and subsequent documentation and distribution, including employee handbooks, timely notifications and even performance management come under the purview of HR generalists. Qualifications usually include a degree related to human resources.
