Job Role: Technical Project Manager Location: Jersey City, NJDuration: Fulltime Responsibilities- Partner with operations, business, product, technology, data, and risk stakeholders to understand exception scenarios, operational pain points, business rules, service levels, controls.
- Define and document current-state and target-state workflows, including case lifecycle, routing, prioritization, queues, approvals, escalations, notifications, hand-offs, and resolution paths.
- Translate operational requirements into functional and technical requirements for workflow and case-management platforms such as ServiceNow, Pega, Appian, or comparable BPM tools.
- Drive backlog management by defining epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, priorities, milestones, and release plans in collaboration with engineering and delivery teams.
- Coordinate solution design across workflow platforms, APIs, enterprise applications, data sources, reporting solutions, and downstream operational systems to enable straight-through processing and effective exception handling.
- Analyze Data & AI requirements and identify opportunities to use analytics, machine learning, or GenAI for exception classification, prioritization, routing, summarization, root-cause insights, recommendations, and operational decision support.
- Define data requirements including source systems, data elements, mappings, data quality rules, lineage, access, retention, and reporting needs required to support workflow automation and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Establish measurable operational outcomes and KPIs such as exception volumes, aging, turnaround time, SLA adherence, backlog, rework, automation rate, resolution quality, and user adoption.
- Manage cross-functional delivery risks, issues, dependencies, governance, stakeholder communications, testing/UAT readiness, implementation planning, and post-production support for operationally critical solutions.
Experience and Skills
- 8+ years of experience in technology project/program management, product delivery, business analysis, or workflow transformation, with strong exposure to operational or exception-management use cases.
- Hands-on delivery experience with one or more workflow/case-management platforms such as ServiceNow, Pega, Appian, or similar
- BPM/workflow tools; ability to work effectively with platform architects and engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of workflow capabilities including case management, business rules, queues, routing, approvals, SLAs, escalations, notifications, audit trails, role-based access, and process orchestration.
- Proven ability to map complex operational processes, identify exception paths and control points, and convert business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience performing Data & AI requirement analysis, including defining business problems, data needs, AI/analytics use cases, expected outputs, human-in-the-loop controls, explainability, and measurable success criteria.
- Working knowledge of enterprise integrations and data concepts, including APIs, event/message-based integration, data mapping, data quality, reporting, and analytics.
- Experience managing Agile delivery, product backlogs, sprint/release planning, UAT, change management, production readiness, and stakeholder governance across cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, and executive stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to bridge operational business teams and technical delivery teams.
- Experience in high-volume, regulated, or control-oriented operational environments such as banking, capital markets, insurance, payments, servicing, operations, or shared services is preferred.
- PMP, Scrum/Agile, ServiceNow, Pega, Appian, or related workflow/platform certification is preferred.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $86129 - $127189

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
