We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Systems Engineer with the ability to work in a team environment and drive for results. This individual will have advanced Commvault knowledge with a strong VMware infrastructure skillset. This team is responsible for the underlying infrastructure at Jack Henry which is inclusive of hypervisor and data protection. We participate in driving projects to completion and also internal initiatives. The ideal candidate should enjoy working collaboratively while also being able to work independently. This environment is fast paced, challenging, and rewarding .
This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Louisville, KY; Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; Cedar Falls, IA; Allen, TX; Lenexa, KS; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.

What you'll be responsible for:
• Develops and designs complex system architectures that meet business requirements and performance objectives.
• Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs in support of one or more functional areas.
• Executes test processes and scenarios, tracks results, and makes recommendations of system fixes.
• Implements security best practices and measures to protect systems from internal and external threats.
• Performs troubleshooting and remediation, ensures successful project implementation, and performs post project end user support.
• Manages and documents system configurations and oversees all transitions into production.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Ensures compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies related to data security and privacy.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you'll need to have:
• A minimum of 4 years of data protection and disaster recovery experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with hypervisor.
• Experience using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting tools to automate work and improve day-to-day processes.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
• Experience as an individual contributor in projects.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Experience troubleshooting scripts, code, or automation workflows when supporting technical processes.
• Contributes to the team, shares knowledge, and helps move work and projects forward.
What would be nice for you to have:
• Experience with Zerto or other disaster recovery tools.
• Experience building self-service or request-based workflows.
• Experience working with enterprise storage platforms or storage concepts.
• Experience with APIs, GitHub or other source control tools, Terraform, or Ansible is a plus.
