Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Systems Analyst to join our team. This role involves working on mission-critical systems that deliver pension services to corporations, employees, and retirees. The ideal candidate will play a key part in analyzing complex requirements, designing scalable solutions, and ensuring system integrity within a modern, evolving technology environment.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and backlog items.
- Perform complex data analysis and data mining across recordkeeping systems to support business insights and resolve issues.
- Work alongside technical leads and solution architects to design, document, and maintain system flows, data models, and integration patterns.
- Support the creation and documentation of API contracts and enterprise integrations aligned with standards.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the platform architecture to conduct impact analysis across interconnected systems.
- Assist in production issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution to minimize system disruptions.
- Contribute to team ceremonies, iterative planning, and continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing delivery quality and efficiency.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or higher with strong skills in business system design and solution development.
- 4-6 years of experience as a systems analyst, application lifecycle management, and production support.
- Proven experience working with financial systems, recordkeeping platforms, or retirement/benefits administration (experience in Defined Benefit preferred).
- Ability to interpret and translate complex business rules, such as pension calculations, eligibility, and compliance, into technical requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and extensive data analysis experience, including proficiency in SQL.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly coordinated, fast-paced, iterative environment, partnering with diverse stakeholders.
- Capable of working through ambiguous situations, making timely, informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of Defined Benefit plan operations, including pension calculations, eligibility, and compliance.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with data governance, reconciliation, and audit processes.
- Working proficiency with object-oriented programming concepts, particularly Java.
- Knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, and API integrations.
