Overview

Planning Supervisors (or Managers) lead the development and execution of integrated media plans that align with client business objectives. They act as the bridge between strategy and activation-owning plan quality, guiding junior team members, and ensuring campaigns deliver against performance and brand goals.
• Own end-to-end media planning for assigned accounts
• Translate strategy into actionable, channel-level plans
• Lead day-to-day client and internal collaboration

Responsibilities

1) Strategy & Planning
• Develop cross-channel media strategies (TV, Digital, Social, OOH, Audio, etc.)
• Translate client objectives into media approach, channel roles, and allocations
• Apply audience insights, research, and performance data to inform planning
• Ensure plans align with broader marketing strategy and campaign priorities

2) Plan Development & Execution
• Build and oversee tactical media plans, ensuring feasibility and accuracy
• Manage budget allocation, flighting, and media mix decisions
• Monitor campaign pacing, optimization, and delivery timelines
• Coordinate with activation / investment teams for execution and optimization

3) Performance & Optimization
• Analyze campaign results and extract actionable insights
• Optimize channel mix, targeting, and creative deployment
• Define KPIs and measurement approach in partnership with analytics teams

4) Client & Cross-Functional Leadership
• Serve as a key point of contact for client planning discussions
• Collaborate with creative, analytics, social, and partner teams
• Present media strategies, POVs, and performance updates
• Lead internal and external status calls

5) Team Leadership & Development
• Manage and mentor planners / junior staff
• Review work for quality, accuracy, and strategic rigor
• Delegate tasks and guide development of team skills

6) Innovation & Thought Leadership
• Bring forward new media opportunities, partners, and technologies
• Identify test-and-learn opportunities and emerging trends
• Contribute to agency POVs and standard processes

Compensation Range: $81,225.00 - $129,987.00 Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
