Sr. Technology Manager leads and manages technology teams responsible for the development, implementation, support, and continual improvement of enterprise technology solutions and infrastructure. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for software development, infrastructure management, project delivery, vendor partnerships, budgeting, and workforce planning. The Sr Technology Manager works closely with business leaders and executive stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions that support organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:- Lead and direct multiple technology teams responsible for application development, infrastructure, systems management, and technology operations.
- Develop and execute technology strategies, roadmaps, and long-term plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of projects in accordance with established PMO project delivery processes.
- Manage departmental budgets, financial resources, and performance metrics, ensuring compliance with financial and operational requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, including contract oversight, service level agreements (SLAs), and strategic alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement in team productivity, service delivery, system reliability, and operational effectiveness.
- Partner with business, operations, and executive leaders to identify, recommend, implement, and support technology solutions that improve organizational performance.
- Ensure compliance with security, risk, regulatory, incident management, and change management requirements while maintaining the safety and soundness of supported systems.
- Lead talent management activities including workforce planning, hiring, coaching, performance management, succession planning, and employee development.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in information technology, including application development, infrastructure management, systems analysis, project management, or related disciplines.
- Previous leadership experience managing managers, supervisors, and/or multiple technology teams.
- Extensive knowledge of software architecture, technical design, development methodologies, infrastructure technologies, systems administration, and enterprise application management.
- Strong understanding of project management, incident management, change management, risk management, and technology governance practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, financial resources, vendor relationships, and strategic technology roadmaps.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems, lead organizational change, and deliver results through cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and resource management skills in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment.
Location:This position is fully in office (5 days a week) at the Zions Technology Center - 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047
